This will be an 18+ event... bring ID! Music starts at 8pm. It'll be $12 before 11pm or with canned good and $15 after. I know its early but mark your calenders cause you won't want to be a FOOL for not being @ this show!!! DB ~ Breakbeat Science/London/NY/www.djdb.com/DnB~~~~Arriving in New York from London in '89, it could be said that no one has done more for Drum & Bass in America than DB. First with his hardcore Breakbeat club NASA, then by launching Sm:)e communications and releasing the first Jungle singles & compilations in the U.S, as well as signing dj Dara, thus kick starting his artist career. He & Dara then opened Breakbeat Science, dedicated to Drum & Bass, It quickly become not only the most respected record store & label, but also the very epicenter of the jungle community in the U.S. He recently released, his 11th mix cd in 12 years” Exercise 5”. Under the name Ror-shak, DB & DJ Stakka produced & are about to release their first artist album, they are focusing & pushing the limits on the more musical side of the genre, which as a dj, is what DB has become best loved for. Sinister ~ Ohio/ Funkshun,GSP,In-the Groove/ DnB~~~~Fascinated with drums and drum beats, Sinister at a young age was consumed with hip hop and rap. However, the music didn’t quite satisfy his thirst for a fast beat. Not knowing what else was out there, a friend decided to take him to an electronic music festival. While walking through the crowd, he heard an overwhelming style of music with a unbelievable beat. Not knowing what this kind of music was, he approached the DJ after his set to inquire. He asked the DJ “what do you call this music”. The DJ laughingly said “This is drum n’ bass”. From that point on, Sinister became engulfed in the world of drum n’ bass. His style has been described as a unique blend of groovin’ sounds with explosive drum beats. Sinister, known to ignite dance floors all across the US with high energy shows and untouchable track selection is a performance you won’t soon forget.
